Morrisey "Boxers" (single)

found a whole stack of these Morrisey singles for .99 each, so I bought them. I'm not the hugest fan but every chick I ever had over my house thought so, and there was no way around it. I never got around to listening to them much or throwing them out, but this one I liked. It has a photo of a beaten-faced boxer on the cover, and it's a pretty cool image.

I liked the song Boxers quite a bit, it has a really great sentiment to it. Losing in front of your home crowd.

the 3rd song, though triggers memories because my awesomely beautiful insane and dark girlfriend at the time made me a mix tape and used the big dark "YES YES YES YES" at the end to close off one side. She made me the mix at a time when it wasn't certain if we were going to be doin it and I was fantasizing about her all the time, and it hooked the shit outta me. It was awesome.

posting both songs.

boxers
whatever happens i love you

CD Elimination

I'm getting rid of my CD's and VHS tapes. I'm not looking for happy homes for any of them. I'm just gonna chuck 'em or smash 'em or something. Maybe it's wasteful but crap man, who wants this mid 90s cool? no one.

However, it is a pretty good snapshot of what I wasted my early spending money on, what I thought was cool, or who I was. So for memory's sake, I'll try to save one song off of each, and write something about it, and post the song somewhere.

alright.

Wow, this was 2001? I heard it in 2004/2005. Either way, I'd throw it in the ring vs. any of Pitchfork's top 50 from the past 4 years, with 5 grand behind it.
